Dementia Care

Exceptional Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care

Carebase offers top-quality Dementia, Alzheimer’s or EMI (sometimes still referred to as elderly mental infirm) care in purpose-built homes staffed by professionally qualified dementia nurses and carers.

Our Dementia care is absolutely focused on the needs of our individual residents. We are there every step of the way, and place great importance on understanding personal likes and dislikes. Each resident receives an expert consultation to determine their needs, and a personal care plan is drawn up to include not only care and nutritional needs but wider preferences too.

We encourage all our residents to share their life stories with us, we find it strengthens bonds, forms friendships and for those with dementia, helps manage their condition through reminiscence. Over the years we have learnt some amazing facts about each other.

We always seek to involve family and relatives in the life of our homes. Our comprehensive activities programme is central to our daily routines and designed with therapeutic outcomes in mind. We have recently purchase minibuses to support our activities programme and we like to get out as much as we can.

Caring in Quality Dementia and Alzheimer’s Homes

Our Alzheimer’s homes are purpose-designed and built to deliver the best in dementia care to our residents. Our dedicated surroundings give access to secure gardens with an emphasis on developing stimulating environments such as sensory garden areas, with raised beds and communal rooms. Similarly, we are investing in interiors that are designed to represent more familiar times in our residents’ lives.

We also recognise that, unfortunately, many Dementia and Alzheimer’s sufferers deteriorate through time and so it is that many of our homes are set up to manage migration through the different stages for conditions such as Alzheimer’s.
