List of care homes
Acorn Court
Acorn Court presents a close knit environment as only the most highly-trained and compassionate individuals have been cherry picked to work at the home.
It is stylishly decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard. The light, bright and airy feel is threaded throughout the home, with a lovely glass atrium as the centrepiece.
The home has picked up many awards along the way, which are testament to the excellent level of care it provides. These include the Caring Times National Award for Care Manager of the Year, a Surrey Care Association Award and the Great British Award for Registered Manager of the Year.
It’s a truly family-orientated setting where residents’ families are an integral part of life at the home, and hold a regular Relatives’ Support Group, which provides welcome support to those new to the home from families that are, or have been, in the same boat. They can talk through what’s happening, answer questions on what to expect, and assure you that everything will be okay.
The relative support group is there to provide help and an insight from those that have been through similar experiences. My husband is a resident at the home with severe dementia and this group has provided me with much needed support. Pat Rogers, Resident's Wife
Life at Acorn Court
Among the many facilities, the home features a well-stocked library, where residents can enjoy some quiet time. It also proves a popular venue for hosting intimate private parties. The most recent were centenary birthday parties for two of the residents.
The grounds with sensory flower and herb gardens are in full bloom, thanks to the resident gardening club that works tirelessly to create a wonderful sanctuary for everyone to enjoy. The latest project in the pipeline is the installation of a water feature.
The activities programme is full and varied. Residents can also go on outings which are arranged three times a week. These include local trips like canal boat rides, visits to garden centres and greyhound racing. Trips further afield include visits to museums and galleries.
End of life care
End of life planning is not an area that most of us like to discuss. However, this can be a vital source of help for families that perhaps have been told their loved one has a terminal illness and only has a short time left. We can help make this period as comfortable as possible for the resident, and work closely with a local hospice to ensure all emotional support needs are met.

Dear Maureen,
I have written an official letter of thanks to Bramley Court via Matthew to let him know how privilidged we feel to have had Mary placed at Bramley Court.
I am very grateful to all the staff on Cherry Unit but I particularly wanted to thank you. I saw how skilled and kind you were to Mary but I also appreciated the time you took to acquaint me with what was happening. You gave me great support and confidence. Thank you.
Yours ever,
Gareth

Dear Sarah,
Just a note to express our thanks for the wonderful care you are giving Dad.
We are delighted with the improvement in his mobility and healing of his legs in such a short space of time. This is all down to such excellent care and attention by all your wonderful team.
We no longer have the anxiety over Dad's well being and feel so reassured that he is being properly cared for.
With grateful thanks to you all.
Yours sincerely,
Melanie Sargeant (daughter) & Deborah Wellings (daughter)
