Carebase celebrates outstanding staff with Heart of Gold Awards

Earlier this week a member of staff from each Carebase home was presented with a special Heart of Gold staff award.  The Heart of Gold Awards, were launched in 2009 as a way to thank employees for their exceptional care and compassion. 

Last year’s winners were great ambassadors who have inspired colleagues to promote the highest levels of care and dedication to their residents and the home.

Carebase presented Heart of Gold Awards to its wonderful staff who work so tirelessly at the care homes, including carers, nurses, chefs, maintenance men and domestic staff.   Each member of staff recognised for a Heart of Gold Award was presented with an etched glass plaque to commemorate his or her success and also received an Armani watch for the men, or a Tiffany necklace for the ladies.

Colleagues, residents and relatives at each of the care homes all contributed to deciding the winners by sending in comments and praise for their work. Carebase is always keen to recognise when staff carry out excellent work that goes above and beyond the call of duty and the Heart of Gold Awards is a lovely way of saying thank you.
