Carebase commitment to Breast Cancer Haven
12th October 2011
Carebase is proud to be a keen supporter of Breast Cancer Haven, a charity that helps people through the experience of breast cancer.
Carebase’s Chairman, Alnur Dhanani, has been involved with the charity for several years, supporting the organisation and its fantastic work in improving the lives of people who are living with the illness. Breast Cancer Haven is the only national breast cancer charity that provides such a wide range of complementary therapies and emotional support through free individualised programmes of care in its Havens and through its outreach package.
There are currently three Breast Cancer Havens; in London, Hereford and Leeds. Alnur and Carebase’s commitment to the charity supports the London centre. The charity relies on the generosity of many companies and individuals in the form of donations to enable the good work to continue and this is how Carebase has helped in the past. Recently Carebase has become a member of the Guardian Programme, providing the Haven with the security of an annual donation that will help continue the vital services offered and also help plan for expanding the services.
Other supporters of the charity include HRH The Prince of Wales, who has been Patron of the charity for ten years, and HRH The Countess of Wessex.
